Hey, I'm Jen, a eating disorder recovery warrior who aims to share her lived experience to both inspire those who may be suffering and educate the world on the complexity of eating disorders. Anorexia quite literally almost took my life, now I want to put all my energy in to making sure it doesn't take someone else's.
Jen offers eating disorder recovery coaching, talks and training
I offer a wide range of services that can be tailored to meet your needs.
Eating disorder recovery coaching
I offer 1:1 eating disorder recovery sessions for those who want to reclaim the life they deserve. I can promise you that working with me I will provide you with complete integrity, kindness and trust. In our sessions, I fuse counselling skills, my own experience and evidence informed nutrition and recovery science to offer you personalised, holistic and compassionate care so you can move towards recovery. For those who want extra support or for those who are not ready for 1:1 sessions there is an online eating disorder recovery program I developed with a colleague, which can be worked through at your own pace:
Jen shares her own ordeal with an Eating Disorder and combine this with the current research to help provide students, staff, parents and carers with a firm understanding of eating disorders, how to spot the signs and symptoms and where to go for help. This session also works of encouraging students to reject diet culture and foster a healthy relationship with food, exercise and their body image.
Conferences
Jen presents on her own experience living with an eating disorder for 17 years, giving a great insight in to the lived experience. She also presents how this impacted on all aspects on not only her life but how it affected her family. Jen will quite literally let you inside her mind, and the battles she shared with the voice in her head. From this talk you will feel inspired and have a greater understanding of just how complex eating disorders are. This session can be adapted depending on the nature of the conference.
Corporates
Jen shares her own ordeal with an eating disorder and combines this with the current research to help provide you with a solid understanding of eating disorders. Also this session will provide you with how to address someone in the workplace who may present as being at risk, what to say and not to say, and how to best approach the situation.
